Who Am I?
Hi.
My name is Joshua White, and I am originally from Toledo, OH but I find myself currently residing in Albuquerque, NM with my most-awesome wife Ryanne. I am a Creative Director for a church here in Albuquerque, and a Photographer. Essentially my day job consists of a lot of creative research, implementing systems to create a culture of excellence, leadership, and never being satisfied with how good me or my teams were yesterday (while consistently being reassuring). As for photography, I mainly shoot portrait work, but with an editorial twist. I shoot musicians, both live and for promo pieces, as well as weddings and straight up editorial. I believe in the awesomeness of dramatic and clean photography, and I believe that cheesy backdrops of Paris in a poorly lit studio is full of fail. The whole world is a studio, why not use it. I can rock a picture from here to Iceland in Photoshop, apply any number of rad vintage looks, but i am always striving to shoot the perfect frame in camera. In the future it is my goal to travel to places of great need and tell their stories through my camera.
In addition to photography, I also am a video producer, writer, wordpress ninja, photoshop wizard, social media jedi, husband, son, uncle, friend, and believer in love. Great coffee, sushi, Full Sail Session Black, my family, my friends, great conversations, photography, a compassionate heart, and Sigur Rós are all gifts straight from God, in my humble opinion. I struggle with patience, mediocrity, and contentment.
And perhaps most importantly, I think you’re pretty swell.
